Robert Hardy

Robert "Bob" Lynn Hardy, 76, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Saturday, January 17, 2026 at his home. He was born July 4, 1949 in Perryton, Texas to Lewis Harvey and Wanda Imogene Faries Hardy. He and Melodie Kiser were married November 17, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He served four years in the United States Air Force, where he served one year in Vietnam at Tan Son Nhut Air Force base. He worked at Procter & Gamble for 24 years, where he retired. After retirement he worked six years for Hartline Hardware. He was an avid bowler, where he competed in national tournaments. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys football fan. He was a member of Cape County Cowboy Church in Oak Ridge, Missouri. Survivors include his wife, Melodie Hardy of Cape Girardeau; a son, Shannon (Chris) Hardy of Jackson, Missouri; a daughter, Kristi (Brad) Meyr of New Wells, Missouri; a step-son, Robert Adams of Providence, Rhode Island; two step-daughters, Salina (Jay) Jackson of Fruitland, Missouri and Joey Adams of Virginia Beach, Virginia; three sisters, Boneda (John) Alexander of Austin, Texas, Beverly (Dennis) Hopkins of Fletcher, Oklahoma, Pamela (Steve) Lange of Jackson, Missouri; four grandchildren, Bryn (Keagan) Meyr, Jonathan Meyr, Ellie Meyr and Samuel Meyr all of Jackson, Missouri; four step-grandchildren, Robert Adams IV of Providence, Rhode Island, Riley (Joe) Koenig of Fruitland, Missouri, Aiden Adams of Fruitland, Missouri and Jasmine Nagel of Texas; and one great-grandchild on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harvey Ray Hardy. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday, January 23, 2026 at Ford & Sons Funeral Home in Jackson, Missouri. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the funeral home in Jackson with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with full military honors.
