Emma Olene Cauble

Emma Olene Williamson Cauble, 98, of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, May 5, 2023 at Monticello House in Jackson. She was born March 25, 1925 in Fayette, Alabama to Marion and Delma Watson Williamson. She and George Alfred Cauble married August 26, 1944 at Brady, Texas, where he was in pilot training in the United States Air Force. At the end of World War II, they moved home to Cape Girardeau. Olene attended Massey Business College in Birmingham, Alabama. She was a secretary for Cauble & Field, Inc. in Cape Girardeau for 25 years until she and George retired and moved to Tavares, Florida. Olene was a member of First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. She served as the Secretary/Treasurer in the SEMO Fair Association and was a member of the Rodney Vista Homemakers. Survivors include two daughters, Alice E. "Becky" (Gary) Schlosser of Scott City, Missouri and Mary Roselyn "Rosie" (Danny) Conrad of Foley, Alabama; a brother, Billy Roy Williamson of Texas; a sister, Anice J. Williamson Benton of Fayette, Alabama; five grandchildren, Alicia White Lincoln of Cape Girardeau, Carisa (Eddie) Schlosser Barnhill of Tampa, Florida, Laurie (Rob) Conrad Zeitler of Saint Louis, Missouri, Kristen Conrad of Honolulu, Hawaii and Jenny (Brad) Quinley of Knoxville, Tennessee; a step-grandson, Scott (Jodi) Schlosser of Saint Louis, Missouri; and 11 great-grandchildren, Garrett, Brett and Caiden Zeitler, Drake, Jordan and Mason Winschel, Eric and Rachel Quinley, Haley Lincoln, Reese and Brody Barnhill. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, George Marshall; three brothers, Marion Jr., Lanier, Lonnie C.; and a sister, Katie L. Black. Visitation will be 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
