Alex Brooke Beck

After a hard 3 1/2 year fight against breast cancer, Alex Brooke Beck passed away Sunday November 20, 2022 at St Francis Medical Center surrounded by her husband, children, parents and loving family. She was born February 3, 1988 in Columbus, Georgia to Laura Felter and Derrick Voerg. Alex was a graduate of Cape Central High School and Metro Business College. She enjoyed her work with animals at Skyview Animal hospital and at Deer Creek Doggie Day Camp. She loved walking in nature, water and finding heart rocks. Alex loved dancing and would anytime she could. Promoting breast self-exam awareness out was one of her passions. Alex was married to Christopher Daniel Beck of Cape Girardeau July 11, 2017 and was the very proud mother to their children Brinley Elise and Bryson Carter Beck. She had been with Chris since they met in high school 20 years ago. Alex is survived by her husband and children, her mother Laura Felter (August) Ritter, father Derrick (Sherri Warren) Voerg, sisters Amber Voerg, Ashlie (Jami Purcell) Voerg, Kaitlen Ritter (Caleb) Stewart, brothers Graham (Taylor Secrest) Ritter and Evan (Caroline Harding) Ritter, grand parents Charles and Verena Felter and Ann Ritter and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Alex is also survived by her mother-in-law Nicole Williams, father-in-law Danny (Jamie) Beck, sister and brother-in-laws Britney (Andrew) Hale, Zachery Beck, Jessica Beck, Wade (Chasidy) Terry, Megan (Kody) Armstrong, Wyatt (Alyson Estes) Thomas, Matthew Thomas. Alex was preceded in death by her grand parents William and Shirlene Voerg and Raymond Ritter, all of whom she loved very much. Also by father-in-law Christopher Williams and mother-in-law Barbara Beck. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 PM Saturday November 26, 2022 at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. The funeral service will be 1:30 PM Sunday November 27, 2022 at LaCroix United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau with the Rev Ron Watts officiating.
