William Palmer Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Cape Girardeau, MO-It is with profound sorrow that, for now, our family must say goodbye to William Francis Palmer, loved father and grandfather. On Saturday, November 14, 2020, William transitioned from this earthly life into the loving arms of Jesus. Born August 29,1941, in Princeton, Kentucky to the late William Elijah and Virginia Glass Palmer, William lived a full life of 79 years. Shortly after his United States Air Force service, he married the love of his life Linda Jane Jarvis in Sikeston, Missouri at the First Christian Church on October 16, 1966. She proceeded him in death on April 23, 2013. They enjoyed living in Sikeston and rearing their three sons Bill, Bryan, and Charles. William was an active community member owning Jarvis motor company from 1966-2005. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge 310 in Sikeston, Elks and Shriners - Scottish Rite, and a member of First Christian Church. After retirement he filled his days with golfing, fishing, reading, and seeing his grandchildren. Survivors include three sons, William Earl (Julie Ann) Palmer, Joseph Bryan (Stephanie) Palmer, and Charles Matthew Palmer; one brother, two sisters; and seven grandchildren, Jacob, John Austin, Anna, Emily, Christopher, Isabella and Jonathan as well as other friends. Due to current health protocols, private services will be held at a later date.
