Stephen C. Wilson, 67, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Southeast Hospital. He was born October 20, 1952 in Kansas City, Kansas to Robert O. and Patsy Ruth Wheeler Wilson. He and Jean Smith were married November 1976 at Jackson, Missouri. He served in the Air Force in England for three years. He practiced law for 38 years and was a member of the Missouri Bar. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles and Elks Lodge in Cape Girardeau. He loved fireworks on the 4th of July, skydiving, playing guitar and building model airplanes. Survivors include his wife, Jean Wilson of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Katie (Matt) Britt of Cape Girardeau; a son, Shawn (Sue) Nesler of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Cheryl (Ken) Creasey of Lawrence, Kansas and Melissa (John) Baar of Port Angeles, Washington; and three grandchildren, Riley Britt, Ryder Nesler and Reese Nesler. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 24, 2020 at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to American Red Cross, whether it be blood or monetary donations.
