Robert Wayne Welker, 84, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the Lutheran Home due to COVID-19. He was born November 1, 1936 in Cape Girardeau to George S. and Wilda Noland Welker. He and Susan Mary Schnurbusch were married October 28, 1994 at Jackson, Missouri. He served in the United States Air Force. He was a custom upholsterer at Rust and Martin for over 26 years, where he retired. He was a member of Maple United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. Survivors include his wife, Susan Mary Welker of Cape Girardeau. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Jeff Estes officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau, with full military honors.
