Paul William Ostendorf, 84, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Sunday, October 18, 2020 at his home. He was born April 30, 1936 in Cape Girardeau to August and Lucinda Stock Ostendorf. He and Rosemary Reynolds were married June 8, 1963 at Scott City, Missouri. He served in the National Guard. He worked for Sheetmetal Workers Local 36 for 58 years. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed playing cards with friends, making homemade wine and was a lifelong Cardinals and Chiefs fan. He was a member of St. Mary Cathedral in Cape Girardeau. Survivors include wife, Rosemary Ostendorf of Cape Girardeau; daughter, Paula (Richard) Guinter of Cape Girardeau; son, Jeffrey (Rachel) Ostendorf of Uniontown, Missouri; sister, Ruth (Leon) Schlosser of Scott City, Missouri; brother-in-law, Ken Alderman of Cape Girardeau; three granddaughters, Brandy Guinter of Round Rock, Texas, Erin and Aubrey Ostendorf both of Uniontown, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Friday, October 23, 2020 at St. Mary Cathedral in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
