Kenneth Max Morgan

January 10, 1929 - June 17, 2022

Kenneth Max Morgan, 93, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri passed away Friday, June 17, 2022 at the Lutheran Home. He was born January 10, 1929 in De Graff, Kansas to Maurice Austin and Laura Ruth McMillan Morgan. He and Mary Grove were married June 29, 1952, in El Dorado, Kansas. She preceded him in death on April 3, 2014. Kenneth earned his bachelor of science degree in agricultural engineering from Kansas State in 1952. He enlisted in the Air Force after graduation and served his country from 1952 until July of 1956. After his service he worked for the soil conservation department of the U.S. government and became the area engineer in Southeast Missouri. He was a dedicated member of Bethany Baptist Church. He taught Sunday school for 65 consecutive years. Survivors include a son, William (Melissa) Morgan of Millersville; two daughters, Melinda (Cary) Winchester of Paducah, Kentucky and Marilyn (Alan) Berry of Farmington, Missouri; 8 grandchildren, Billie Jo (Bud) Hurley, Jerrick (Kristen) Myers, Abbi Berry, Max (Pearl) Morgan, Tyler (Samantha) Myers, Alayna (Matthew) Momot, Colt Winchester, and Boone Berry; 5 great grandchildren, Tucker Smith Myers, Javier Morgan, Mia Morgan, Rowan Myers, and Vera Jean Momot; one great grandson, Hayes Myers on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother, James Austin Morgan, a sister, Linda Juanita Brown, a granddaughter, Alexis Ramsey, a great granddaughter, Carolina Grace Myers. Funeral service will be Monday, June 20, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Bethany Baptist Church with Pastor Dr. Shawn Wasson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Bethany Baptist Church, 1712 Randol Ave., Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
