Kenneth Gene McDaniel, 64, of Cape Girardeau passed away Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022, at Saint Francis Medical Center. He was born Nov. 20, 1957, in Cape Girardeau to Edward Gene and Emma Jane Lewis McDaniel. Ken worked as a delivery driver for Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits for more than 15 years. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie 3775 in Cape Girardeau. In his younger years he enjoyed flying planes, traveling with his son, Sam, and scuba diving. Survivors include his son, Samuel Dylan McDaniel of Cape Girardeau; sister, Dorlis Ebner of Cape Girardeau; and grandchildren, Cali McDaniel, David Straup, Tyler McDaniel and Mali Ried. Ken was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ed; and a brother-in-law, David Ebner. A visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
