    November 7, 1925 - March 19, 2022

    JW Rencher, 96, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Saturday, March 19, 2022 at his home. He was born November 7, 1925 in Scooba, Mississippi to Joe Rencher and Annie Sims. He and Alice Louise Mosley were married January 1, 1945 at Scooba, Mississippi. He loved gardening, landscaping, and enjoyed trucking throughout his life. He was a religious and hard working man who loved his family. He was a devoted Deacon and member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. Survivors include his wife, Alice Louise Rencher of Cape Girardeau; two sons, John (Gwendolyn) Rencher of St. Louis, Missouri and Ronald (Kenda) Rencher of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; six daughters, Mary (Francisco) Phillips of Cape Girardeau, Ann (Alfred) Mann of Oakbrook, Illinois, Earma Shipley of Kennesaw, Georgia, Brenda (Gregory) Jemison of Marietta, Georgia, Patricia Jordan of Cape Girardeau, Kathy (William) Matthews of Florissant, Missouri; three brothers, LA Rencher of East St. Louis, Illinois, Willie (Jackie) Rencher of Aurora, Colorado, UV Simms of Detroit, Michigan; six sisters, Lillian Howard of Chicago, Illinois, Marie Peden of Chicago, Illinois, Clara Dixon of Chicago, Illinois, Earma Reese of Cleveland, Ohio, Sally Cole of Cleveland, Ohio, Elizabeth Steele of Cleveland, Ohio; 24 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Rencher; a daughter, Bettie Graham. Visitation will be 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am Saturday, March 26, 2022 at the church with the Rev. Joseph Cotton Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau. Memorial contributions may be given to New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 1029 S Benton St, Cape Girardeau, MO 63703. Online condolences may be made at www.fordandsonsfuneralhome.com.
