David Wayne Williams, 63, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Southeast Hospital. He was born December 7, 1958 in Cape Girardeau to David Sylvester Williams and Jacqueline Gateley Martin. He and Donna McGill were married February 19, 1993 in Jackson, Missouri. He served in the United States Navy, where he was in a submarine for six years. He worked at Best One Tire. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles. He loved playing softball and bowling. Survivors include his wife, Donna Williams of Cape Girardeau; mother, Jacqueline (Eugene) Martin of Scott City, Missouri; son, David D. Williams of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Kristin (Garrett Dykes) Demyan of Paducah, Kentucky, Christy Williams of Scott City, Missouri, Rachael Williams of Scott City, Missouri; mother-in-law, Carolyn (Kenny) Wachter of Jackson, Missouri; a brother, Danny (Melody) Williams of Glen Allen, Missouri; two step-brothers, Ricky (Donna) Martin of Jackson, Missouri and Larry (Liz) Martin of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Karen Gilliam of Paragould, Arkansas and Crystal Mansker of Perryville, Missouri; two step-sisters, Beverly Lair of Brownwood, Missouri and Darlene (Rick) Kinder of Cape Girardeau. He was preceded in death by his father; father-in-law; a brother; and a nephew. There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Gary Brothers officiating. Burial will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors.
