David Bryant Golliher

April 7, 1950 - April 28, 2022

We regretfully announce the passing of David Bryant Golliher, of Cape Girardeau Missouri. David was born to Joe and Dorita Howard Golliher on April 7, 1950. He sadly passed away on April 28, 2022 after a battle with cancer. David grew up in Cape Girardeau and was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. David began his career as a financial advisor 40 years ago in Atlanta Georgia after completing training in New York City at Merrill Lynch. He joined AG Edwards as Vice President, transitioning to Wells Fargo Advisors rising to First Vice President. He returned to Cape Girardeau, transferring to the local Wells Fargo branch where he worked until his passing. David was an active Rotarian for over 35 years. He was a Paul Harris Fellow and enabled his wife Mindy to be bestowed with the same honor. Always an active humanitarian, David worked with numerous charities both publicly and privately. He would often volunteer his personal time whenever possible to causes that were important to him, instilling that sense of community service to his children. David always credited his grandfather Harry Howard, and his two uncles Leonard Howard and Furg Hunter for their inspiration and guidance. As a fulltime and dedicated father, David strived to encourage and support his children in any of their endeavors, serving as a mentor and example. He was a man of honesty, true compassion, and strength. His values and faith will continue to live on through all who knew him. David is survived by his wife Mindy; children David (Blythe), Kelly Owen (Brent), and Andrew Protz (Sheryl); grandchildren Mia, Myles, Emily, and Easton; sisters Mary Power and Martha Micelli (Michael); brother Wayne (Jan); father-in-law Jake Foster; four nieces and numerous cousins. A celebration of David’s life will be held at a later date.
