Cheryl A. Ginter, 74, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Jackson and Sikeston, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Fountainbleau Lodge. She was born May 17, 1947, in Jackson, Missouri to the late Elmer E. and Annie R. (Trickey) Ginter. Cheryl was a Middle School Teacher in Sikeston for many years. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. She also attended First Baptist Church in Jackson and in Sikeston. She is survived by her sister-in-law., Ruth Gene Tucker of Dallas, Texas; nephews Will Tucker (Deb), Scott Tucker (Heather), Bruce Tucker (Lynette) and Jeff Tucker and many grand nephews and nieces Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, William L. Tucker. Cheryl will be missed by the hundreds of teachers and students she worked with and taught over her many years of teaching. Visitation will be Saturday, March 12, 2022, from noon until 2:00 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jennifer Long officiating. Burial will take place at Russell Heights Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
