Bobby Busche Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Bobby Joe Busche passed away on December 25, 2021 at the age of 91 years 3 months and 2 days, at the Lutheran Home in his hometown of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was the son of the late Clifford and Marie Busche. His medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite some pain and other issues, Bobby Joe came out a hero and stayed strong until the end. He served in the U.S. Army between 1950-1953 as Sgt. 1st Class being stationed in Japan for 26 months. Bobby Joe worked for 54 years at the Missouri Dry Dock and Repair. Being of the Lutheran faith he attended Hanover Lutheran Church as a child and Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau as an adult. In his spare time he enjoyed working in his yard and being outside. Bobby Joe met the love of his life, Shirley Roth in Cape Girardeau. It was love at first sight and from the beginning he knew that they would be married. They married on April 6, 1956. Together they had two children. He was a member of the V.F.W. #3838 and the American Legion Post #63. Bobby Joe is survived by his wife and his children, Sherry (Richard) Randol of Cape Girardeau and Timothy (Patricia) Busche of Mesa, Arizona. He also had three grandchildren Christina (Thomas) Preston, Theresa Randol, Daniel (Mary) Busche and five great grandchildren. He is survived by one sister, Germaine (George) Davis, and his favorite little cat, Maggie Mae. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Karl Busche; and a sister, Sharon Young. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Visitation will be 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Douglas Breite officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau. Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
