Marian Louise Walker

Marian Louise Walker, age 72, of Kansas City, Missouri, entered The Pearly Gates of Heaven Thursday, January 13, 2022. She entered this world November 25, 1949, in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Marian was the daughter of Nig Lewis, and Louella Lewis Marian was an honest, God-Fearing woman and was very generous and loving. She was in the nursing and caring field for at least 35 years. She also became a foster parent and opened her home up to children in need from 1980 to 1986. Marian also became an Ordained Minister, Evangelist and Missionary. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Pastor, Sister Faye Bumpas, and a Member of Greater Life Church in Kansas City, Missouri, Pastor, Craig L. Gates. Most of all, Marian loved her family and the Lord, they were her life. She was a loving mother, grand-mother, and great-grandmother, who will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her father, Nig Lewis; her mother, Louella Lewis; a brother, Willie Lewis; a brother, James Lewis; a foster son, James Mowery, Sr.; and one brother-in-law, Jim Ayers. Marian is survived by her loving and Dearing son, Kenneth Ray Lewis of Kansas City, Missouri; daughter, Sarah Lynn Walker of Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Etta L. Ayers of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and her 9 children; brother, Walter L. Holman of St. Louis, Missouri, and his 2 children; Sister, Joyce L. Thrower of Douglas, Georgia and her 4 children and spouse; brother, Nathaniel B. Lewis and wife, Sue Lewis, of Oakville, Missouri and their 2 children. Marian is also survived by her grand-children, Kenneth Lewis, Jr., of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; Corey Thomas of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; Breanna Mullins of St. Louis, Missouri; Austin Lewis of Kansas City, Missouri; Jacob Walker of Kansas City, Missouri; James Mowery, Jr. of San Diego, California; Renee Hill of Kansas City, Missouri; and Reese Hill of Kansas City, Missouri. great-grandchildren, Kenneth Lewis, III, Xavier Thomas, Serenity Lewis, Hazel Lewis, Ezekiel Thomas, Leonidas Cangelosi, and Francesca Cangelosi. Her two best friends, Helen Howard of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Mary Ann Dukes of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and her church friends and family members. A celebration of life service will be Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
