Marc-Anthony Vontrell Jones

Marc-Anthony Vontrell Jones was born Thursday, October 5, 2000 at Touchette Hospital in Centreville, Illinois. He departed this life on Tuesday, January 29, 2020. Marc attended Cape Central High School in Cape Girardeau, MO where he was an A&B honor roll student. Marc was employed through Express Employment Professionals located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He enjoyed computers, electronics, video games and dreamed of working for Apple. Marc was raised in The Church of God in Christ Congregational where he was a participant in the National Sunshine Band under the leadership of Mother Joyce Mosley who loved him so much and he always brought a smile to her face. Marc was one of a kind in so many ways; playful, caring, mischievous at times but had a loving spirit. Marc deeply loved his mother Doris Jones-Dennis, his pops, Elmous Dennis, his brothers; Chase, Thomas, Kerry, Alan and his friends. Marc loved children and children loved him but he had a special love and affection for his nephew, Nigel A. Dennis and his mom. Marc touched the hearts of many people along the way including Jamie Lamburth and her family and the Patterson family who loved him as if he was their own. He was loved by and loved Brionna Lamburth and Ally Hoehn. Also the later Mother Rosie Dennis who thought Marc could do no wrong. Marc enjoyed music and loved to rap to show his talent and love for music. He enjoyed home cooked meals and some of his favorites were pancakes, cheese burgers (no pickles and onions), chicken, mama's dressing, and mama's peach cobbler. He was truly a gift from God that we never imagined we'd lose so soon. He brought joy and pain sometimes, but through it all his smile and his memory will carry us on. Marc leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Doris Jones-Dennis and his pops, Elmous Dennis of Cape Girardeau; his four brothers, Chase Dennis of Belleville, IL, Thomas Jones and Kerry Jones of Cape Girardeau and Alan Nichols "Tido" of Madison, IL. Visitation will be Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at True Faith Missionary Ministries, Cape Girardeau. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm with Daniel K. Williams, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
