Lucretia Dawn Luster

Lucretia (Lucy) Dawn Proctor Luster age 45, died of multiple complications from Type 1 Diabetes on Monday, August 31st, 2015 in Fort Walton Beach FL. Lucretia (Lucy) was preceded in death by her parents, Roy C. Proctor Sr. and Margaret L. Proctor. She is survived by her husband, Todd Luster of Fort Walton Beach, FL; brother, Roy (Elaine) Proctor of Benton, MO; sister, Sharon (Ron) Legrand of Kelso, MO and brother, Dwayne (Karla) Proctor of Benton, MO. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews that loved her very much. She also leaves behind four furry pets that miss her terribly. Lucy was born in Cape Girardeau, MO on Feb 27, 1970 to her parents Roy and Margaret Proctor. She resided in Benton, MO and graduated from Kelly HS and then attended Patricia Stephens Career College when she graduated with a degree in Retail Merchandising and Management. She lived in Benton, MO for the first 32 years of her life and then met her husband Todd and moved to Crossville, TN. Lucy lived there for 8 years and was very active in the community including DCI, the downtown Crossville Revitalization project. She eventually moved to Fort Walton Beach FL, where she has resided the last 3 years. Her love of the beach and the Gulf of Mexico kept her spare time busy and her latest professional position was as Assistant Manager for Anytime Fitness in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Lucretia (Lucy) loved people as her many friends and family members can attest too. At special events she was usually one of the first to arrive and one of the last to leave. Her patience, love and kindness for others were never more apparent. Music of all different genres was also a huge passion for her. She was an active participant in the Country Radio Seminar in Nashville for many years and helped promote new music artists including Jason Aldean. She was an active member of the Son's and Daughters of Italy, Joseph Franzilia Lodge #2422, Fort Walton Beach participating the annual Christmas meal for special needs adults. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, September 3rd at the Ford and Sons Funeral Home, 142 S. Winchester Benton, MO from 6 to 8 pm.
