Kristen Newell

Kristen Nichole Newell, age 44, of Jackson, Missouri passed peacefully to meet her Lord and Savior Tuesday June 17th at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, surrounded by her loving family and close members of her church family. Kristen was born July 29th 1980 in Cape Girardeau to Gene and Beth Newell. She was a lifelong faithful member of Christ Gospel Church in Millersville, Missouri, where she served in many capacities over the years, most recently as a Lay Minister, as well as the Adult Sunday School teacher, and she walked hand in hand with her pastors helping them wherever she was needed. Kristen was often referred to as Aunt Kiki, or Kiki by her niece, nephew and many other church and family children who she loved spending time with. She worked at Anthem Blue Cross-Blue Shield for 26 years, where she was a dedicated employee and a great teammate, who was respected for her technical expertise. Those who knew Kristen, loved her. She was so giving, loving and nurturing to everyone she met. She had two loves in this life, God and her family. She was selfless and always made sure everyone she loved was taken care of, no matter what it was. She gave everyone she met an opportunity to know Christ, from the life she lived. She is survived by her loving parents; her brother, Kyle and sister-in-law, Erika; nephew, Jarrett; niece, Grace all of Jackson; and many other family members and church family she was close to and loved so much. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, June 23, 2025 at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau and also 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Christ Gospel Church of Millersville. Her home going service will begin at 12:00 pm Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Christ Gospel Church of Millersville with the Rev. Chris Deegear officiating.
