Joseph Paul Moore age 49 of Cape Girardeau died on April 10, 2021 at his home. He was born on October 31, 1971 to James and Katherine Goldrick Moore at Cape Girardeau. On July 16, 2011 Joseph and Katrina E. Froemsdorf were united in marriage. Joe was definitely the strong silent type. He was a man of few words, but the words he spoke were true, kind, insightful and often the voice of reason. He was always ready to help others. If you ever had a question about the most random trivia, Joe knew the answer. Family beach vacations, guy trips, NASCAR and reading were a few of Joe Paul's favorite things. Halloween on Park Avenue will never be the same. Joe did Halloween (his birthday) right with his mom's chicken and dumplings, epic decorations and his unique family costumes. He made sure every family that stopped by got candy, food, drink and a lot of laughs. He spent his life loving his family and friends fiercely. But, our Joe was at his very best when he had his arms around his family. He was a protector. A provider. Joseph is survived by his parents, James and Katherine Moore of Cape Girardeau; wife, Katrina E. Moore of the home; four sons, Joshua Paul (Karly) Moore of Paducah, Kentucky, Nicholas Paul Sanderfer of Cape Girardeau, Gage Joseph Moore of Cape Girardeau and Kolbe James Moore of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Cecelia Rose Sanderfer of Cape Girardeau and Sophia Marie Moore of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Christopher (Amy) Moore of Jackson Missouri, two sisters, Jennifer (Barry) Gray of Cape Girardeau and Elizabeth (Tommy) Thomas of Liberty Missouri; paternal-grandmother, Jewel Francis Moore of Cape Girardeau; and numerous nieces, nephews and was a friend to many. Joseph was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau. He worked over 16 years as a lineman for Ameren Utilities, and was a member of the Union IBEW #702 in West Frankfort, Illinois. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with Rosary at 10:30 am at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am at the church with Rev. Brian Straus officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Cape Girardeau. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to his children and family. Ford and Sons Funeral Home Mt. Auburn was in charge of Arrangements.
