Imogene Bollinger

Imogene Bollinger, 96, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri passed away Monday, September 2, 2019 at Chateau Girardeau. She was born February 9, 1923 in Bollinger County, Missouri to Bennie F. and Nila Jane Logan Dickison. Imogene married Clifford Alex Dalton October 7, 1939 at Sturdivant Missouri to that union one son, William Clifford Dalton, who was born October 19, 1948. Clifford died January 23, 1955 and later, Imogene married Loyd L. Bollinger August 10, 1962 at The Evangelical United Church of Christ in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Loyd passed away December 17, 2012. Imogene worked for the International Shoe Company and later became a full time mother, housewife, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to play cards and dominoes with her friends and family. When her health began to fail, she moved to rural Perryville and lived with her sister, Della Thompson, who cared for Imogene for several years. Imogene moved her church membership from Evangelical UCC in Cape to Grace Community Church in Farmington, Missouri. Surviving are two granddaughters, Casey (Rodney) Brown and their two children, Callie and Alex of Fruitland, Missouri and Kelly (Jason) Kniess and their sons Wyatt and Deacon of Ellington, Missouri; stepdaughter, Hope (James) Essner of Kelso, Missouri, their children Tamara (David) Glastetter and sons Nathan, Justin and Dylan of Imperial, Missouri, Todd (Amy) Essner and sons Kaden and Jeramy of Jackson, Missouri, and Toni (Lance) Craft and children Skylar and Kael of Jackson, Missouri; stepson, Wynn (Linda) Bollinger and their daughters, Laura (Craig) Hutson of Jackson Missouri and Christa (William) Zickfield and children Olivia and Leighton of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; sister, Della Thompson of Perryville, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, her son, William Dalton on July 8, 2011, grandson, Caleb William Brown October 4, 2002, brothers, William R. Dickison, James B. Dickison and sister America Osmondson. The visitation will be 9:00 am to 11:00 am Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel. The service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor David Parmley officiating. Burial will be at Morgan Cemetery in Advance, Missouri.
