Geraldine " Geri" Reiminger

Surrounded by her loving family, Geraldine Statler Reiminger passed away peacefully Thursday, April 12, 2012, at the Millersville home of her daughter and son-in-law. Geri was born on October 31, 1929, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Tivis and Bessie Banks Statler. She married Harold Houseman, Sr. in April 1948. On August, 15, 1961, she married Ben "Bobee" Reiminger in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death on April 30, 2004. Having an array of jobs throughout her life which included many years as a shoe cutter at Florsheim Shoe factory, Geri spent her final working days as a CNA for the elderly providing dedicated care in their homes. She will be remembered for her vibrant wardrobe to match her colorful personality, love of Cadillac�s, and ruthless ways at Rummy. Geri�s many friends will call to mind her generosity, straightforwardness, and comedic nature. Her grandchildren meant the world to her, and they knew her love and child-like ways because she made every minute with them a party. Only her love for God took precedence and carried her through the final days of her illness. Her survivors include daughters, Terre Chriss and husband Christo of Millersville, Kandee Oliver and husband Mark of Cape Girardeau, and son Michael Houseman of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Grandchildren include Kimberly Keller Lunsford; Robert Keller, Jr.; Jessica Houseman; Katelyn Metje; Kristopher Metje; and Alex Chriss. Great-grandchildren include Sarah Barton, Sam Pfau, Emily Lunsford, Tommy Lunsford, Cassie Lunsford, Callie Keller, Justin Aden, Jessi Aden, Jordyn Aden, Blake Pardon, Max Pardon, and Redmon Chriss. Rylee Palmer completes her family as her first great-great-grandchild. Her brother Stanley Richardson and wife Irene along with her sister Hazel Richardson Ford also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son Harold "Sonny" Houseman, Jr. Brothers Tivis Jr., Chalmer, Burl, Claude, Bob, Paul, Jack, and sister Pauline also preceded her. Visitation will be at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel on Sunday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Ed Stoner officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary�s Cemetery.
