David W. Clubb Sr.

David Clubb Sr. was born and raised in Cape Girardeau MO. Where he attended Cape Central and lived with his father and step-mother. David was born November 6th 1955, to Russell Clubb and Mildred Pettit. While growing up he enjoyed basketball, riding and making bike ramps, swimming, visiting with his brothers Kevin, Randy, Michael, and Jerry Kent Held. David met his wife Teresa Felty while he was cruising Broadway, as all the teens did at that time. David and Teresa were married 48 yrs, they were married, February 14th of 1975. Together they raised two children, Patricia and David. While raising his children, he worked for and retired from Havco Wood Products. David enjoyed CB radios, antique cars, Elvis Presley movies and music, dancing and watching Gun Smoke. He could be found down by the River of Mississippi; fishing with his uncle and brothers. David once swam half way across the river accompanied by his uncle Bill. He enjoyed playing pool with his youngest brother Kevin, and if you ask Kevin what David did to the pool table, you would get a good laugh. David's favorite time of the year was Valentine's Day, but if you ask his children they would say they remember how much he enjoyed Thanksgiving and Christmas with his family. David was a real sport when it came to celebrating Independence Day with his children and the neighborhood kids, as they would all join in on a town bottle rocket war. A favorite food of David's was his wife's grilled cheese sandwiches. A favorite memory, David would share would be the birth of his children, but his children would say that they remember their dad happiest during the holidays as they would spend time with family. One could always hear David say "10-4 Good Buddy, Over and Out!" Visitation will be 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Ford and Sons Funeral Home Sprigg St. in Cape Girardeau. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Ford and Sons Funeral Home Sprigg St. with Rev. Donny Ford officiating Burial will be at Rose Hill in Thebes, IL following the funeral service Memorial contributions may be given to Ford and Sons Funeral Home on behalf of the family.
