Betty J. Mosley

Betty Jo Mosley, 69, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Life Care Center. Betty Mosley was born on March 27, 1953 to Venice T. Johnson, Sr. and Daisy Smith in Caruthersville, Mo. She met her husband, Charles E. Mosley and they married in Cape Girardeau, Mo. They were married for decades and produced 3 sons: Charles, Brandon, and Clayton Mosley. Betty Mosley gave her life to Christ and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She was a member of Soul for Harvest Ministeries under leadership of Reverend, Scott Johnson. Betty Mosley was well known for her love, dedication, and she was devoted to her family. She was always kind and helping people in her community. Her passion was sewing & alterations; which motivated her to start her own sewing and alteration business, named, "Sew Unique" which she owned and operated in the City of Cape Girardeau community for over 20 years until she retired. Betty was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a genuine love and concern for her son's and grandchildren, her family as a whole, and the people in the community in which she resided. She was a nurturer and always found time in her schedule to offer people her time, her love, and her advice for anybody who was in need. She was preceded in death by; her parents, Venice Johnson & Daisy Smith; and her husband, Charles E. Mosley; her sisters, Angela Johnson, Katherine Johnson, Renee Boyd; her brothers, Venice "Jack" Johnson, Lonnie Johnson, Larry Smith, Mark Johnson, Kinsey Johnson Betty is survived by her children: Charles Mosley II, Brandon Mosley, Clayton Mosley; 2 grandchildren: Charles Mosley III, Carli Mosley; 3 sisters, Everlene Falconer, Michelle Smith, Wendy Johnson; 5 brothers, Richard Smith, Scott Johnson, Tarrvacus Johnson, Arthur Johnson, Calvin Johnson. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan 13, 2023 at 11:00 am at Ford and Sons Funeral Home- Mt. Auburn Chapel.
