Aleisha Lavonda Nabors-Ray

Aleisha Lavonda Nabors was born on June 3, 1966 in Sikeston Missouri. she was the fifth born child of Ms. Vera Mae Nabors and was lovingly nicknamed “Bitty” by her grandmother, Mrs. Lottie Mae Nabors, because she was such an itty-bitty baby. When Bitty was six years old, Ms. Vera moved her four children from Sikeston to Cape Girardeau, which is where Bitty attended school until graduating in 1984. She would later earn an Associate degree in Business Management, and become a licensed cosmetologist. Aleisha worked for the Southwestern Bell call Center, until her retirement in 2001 after her diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. Within her community, Ms. Bitty was involved with the the MS Society of Southeast Missouri, and the Missouri Council of the Blind. She never let a friend or a family member go without, her home and her kitchen we’re always open. Bitty loved to cook food for people,travel, listen to music (especially Boys II Men) but there was nothing that she loved more than spoiling her 4 grandsons, lovingly known as “B.B.’s Boys”, they were her pride and joy. Aleisha passed away in her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a 20 year fight against multiple sclerosis. Bitty-B will always be remembered for her one-of-a-kind personality, her amazing smile, her praying hands, and her caring heart. She leaves to carry on her legacy: Four beautiful grandsons; Linny(Goo), Kayden, Jacari(Cheeseburger), and Amarii(Young Yeller), all of Cape Girardeau, MO. One beautiful granddaughter, Elizabeth Reid of Plainfield, IL. Three daughters and one son in law, Jarica (Charles) Reid, Synamin Nabors and J’myn Nabors all of Cape Girardeau, MO. Husband, Terry Ray Sr. Three sisters, Audrey Mhoon of Milwaukee, WI, L. Renee Nabors of Midwest City, OK., and Tiffany Wade of Milwaukee, WI. nephews, JAaron Artis of Cape Girardeau, MO, and Ryan (Taneia) Nabors of Lawton, OK., Jordan Bingham and Jaylen Mhoon of Milwaukee, WI. Niece, Jillian Mhoon of Milwaukee, WI. Special cousins Nichelle Nabors-Gibson (Keith) of Sikeston, MO, and Chris Nabors of Cape Girardeau, MO. Special Aunt, Lynn Ware. Godsons, Jaylen Flye and Austin Sparks. Special loved ones Mom&Pops Campbell. The entire Nabors Family, and a collection of absolutely incredible friends, whom She cherished. She was preceded in death by; her Parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon and Vera Rollins. Father, Cleveland Levy. Brother, Michael Steven Nabors, several beloved aunts and uncles, And her very special friend, Harpo. “I am at peace, my soul is at rest, there is no need for tears. For with your love, I was so blessed for all those many years.” Farewell to the one and only, Bitty-B.
