Ruth M. McCain, 86, of Crestwood, MO, died Friday, August 13, 2010 at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, MO.

She was born  August 21, 1923 in Cape Girardeau, MO to Edward A. and Anita C. Brune Polack .

She and Glenn Miller  McCain were married June of 1960  at Cape Girardeau, MO. He passed away March of 2001.

Mrs. McCain  graduated from Southeast Missouri Teachers College and received her masters degree from George Peabody College of Teachers in Nashville, TN. She was empolyed by the Cape Girardeau School System, University City Schools and Parkway School System. Retiring in 1981.

After her retirement she and Glenn enjoyed  traveling and spending their winters at  Marco Island FL.

Ruth was baptized and comfirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church in St. Louis, MO.

Survivors include
Step-Daughter: Mary Suits, Columbia, MO.
Step-Sons: Bob McCain, Danville, CA. and  Thomas ( Joyce) McCain, Cohasset, MA.
Sister - Helen Polack, Cape Girardeau, MO.
Brother - Bob  (Dorothy) Polack, Cape Girardeau, MO.
Five step- grandchildren, Three step-great-grandchildren
and Three Nephews

She was preceded in death by Parents, Husband, Brother - Edward A. Polack, Jr. and  Sister - Marie Harshaw

Visitation will be Sunday, August 15, 2010 from 2:30 PM  to 3:00 PM at Ford & Sons Sprigg St. Chapel

Funeral will be at 3:00  PM Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Ford & Sons Sprigg St. Funeral Home  with the  Rev. Gary Hoffstetter officiating.

Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to Ascension Lutheran Church in St. Louis, MO.
